I have Gil's Chariot light set. As basic as it is, and I've wired a zillion things, I must be doing something wrong. The battery is getting extremely hot to the touch. How did you guys who have used this wired it? Anyone show a quick schematic? I wired the grounds together (From battery, switch, and headlamp. I have the hot wire from the lamp to the outgoing hot lead prewired from the switch, and then the hot from the battery to the other open post on the switch. It does light up. I thought maybe the ground needed to go to the open post, but it wont light. I'm tired, so maybe I'm missing what I'm doing wrong. I know a switch is just an interuption in a circuit, but I'm just drawing a blank. I'm feeling like a complete dumb shit here. Help! Soon!

Tim,
I never use a ground on the switch. I gather all of my positve and negative leads together and then I always put the switch to interrupt the positive line between the power source and the positive leads on the leds
does that help?

Thats exactly what I went back and did Lou because it was bugging the crap out of me and it worked fine, no hot battery! Thanks for the reply! It was wierd, but I was just drawing a blank! I've been busy drilling holes and setting it up to wire. I've used your post for reference so many times it's ridiculous! It's coming along nicely!

Hi Tim,
This is a first. If you are still having trouble I will send you another set.

No! It's fine now! It's me, not the light set! It's great and so is the photoetched stuff! Primo product! I just had a brain fart I think!
