I promise this is my last question for the week. I have some Aurora Baja Bugs. I've looked on ebay and the internet (and have Bob Beers book) and have seen three different mounting methods for the rear engine:

1. The extended look like the orange Bug in the picture
2. Exhaust up and towards the window - red Bug in the picture
3. Exhaust up and away from the car (sorry white bug is in the Hydrogen Peroxide bath so no example) - this looks to be the position in Bob's book.

I saw one in a blister pack with option 1 but have seen the other methods as well. Before I weld this on with 6 oz of super glue (kidding!) I like to mount them the right way. I'm begining to wonder if they came multiple ways.

Thanks!

Tom

The orange one is correct. Exhaust out the back, 4 carb buttons up.
(They should match the air intakes hanging above them.)
Oh, and Bob, ask all the questions you would like to. :)

BW, Joez is correct on the extended mounting, although the upright stinger position like you dont have a pic of would look like a 'real' baja bug for sure. BUT, if youre using the AW/JL body and parts another concern is the huge 'blocks' on the mounting tabs of the motor that are inside the body, and will jam up against your chassis. Bust out the dremel and work them over real good, now you want to keep SOME of the blocks--just enough to retain the part on the body but get rid of the excess since it interferes with the chassis and it wont mount in right.
