weather is 69 cloudy with off and on rain. sun poping out off and on. wind is zero at this time.
were going to set up and be ready to run around 9:15 am :thumbsup:
and i will report first round events around 10:30. we may have some rain delays so 10:30 is not set in stone.

here we go... we had track set up by 9:05 am. it started raining so we covered the track up and shorten the run off area by 8ft.
at 9:20 rain had stopped. track was cleaned and test cars were run to check track both test cars did alot of fish tailing so we clean track again.this is gonna take awhile to type but we did get to run the whole race and we have a winner!!!
so hold on while i post each round. here we go....

both cars line up and both inch into staging lights light goes green both cars jump and there side by side at half track pat pulls forward and takes the win by 1 car ....woo wait.....pat hooks rail after gate and flips over onto roof joe hooks rail and rides it to a stop. pat wins!

zeb vs mike harristotle
both cars do a wicked burn out out of the water box both look strong . each taking there time. tripping the stage light. engines rev lights trip and zeb fires out like a rocket leading by 6 cars threw the gate for a win. ( very fast car )

both cars come out of the box smoking racr 78 smokes them one more time. both cars move into staging inch by inch jingles stages ...racr staged lights trip. jingles pulls a wheelie and racer trying to play catchup hooks a left and is off track. jingles runs threw gate by 8 cars

both cars do a couple small burn outs move up to around 4ft of staging and are playing..neather wants to stage first. track offical points at both and makes them move up. both cars reving there engines. back tires dancing as thay stage first dad then bud.. lights trip ther off side by side at 1/8 bud nails it to the floor passing dad for the win by 4 cars dadvball gets sideways after the gate hooks a rail and jumps into center track. bud coast into the run off area.

both cars pull up ...run threw the water box ..huge burn out by both. both pull straight into the staging. inching there way in. add is staged candy is staged lights go green both fly out.. side by side.. wooo ....candy pulls forward and runs the gate by a fender oooo no candy hooks a rail and slides to a stop and add shuts down and coast into the shut down area....

both cars pull around dcpd pulls into the water box and crafty goes around the water box. dcpd smokes them out of the box and crafty does a dry burn out. both pull right into trip lights no playing here both are serrious. lights trip there gone. both side by side out of the lights crafty pulls ahead by 1 car and dcpd guy kicks it in!! and passes crafty and runs the trap by 2 cars woo what a win.

69 pulls around into the water hole. pulls up. locks the front tires up and does a wicked burn out. rear end going side to side and screaches up to the lights. stage. lights trip he's in the air. and running like a sculled dog. goes threw the trap coast into the run off area and the front tires come off ..he hits the soft pad and flips over the wall.
track is shut down. for inspection...
car was inspected and found that very lil glue was used to hold axles on:(
track is now reopened. 69stangs car is out.

both cars are in the box pull out. smoke rolls across the bleaches. both take there time staging. frist cj then plank. both are staged. lights go green clean run from both. side by side below the 1/8 and plank kicks it in going threw the trap by 3 cars. cj's cars slowed down and comes to rest 4ft from run off area.

no by run. a coin was tossed . with out getting ahead of the results this is what happens. those eight you post only 4 will advance to round 3. out of those 4 a coin was tossed and won a hot lap with plankowner. winner of hot lap will move on to round 3.i cant say who won it that would ruin it for others. round 2 will show who it was and results.

Wow my car actually made it down the track. Whodda thunk it 2 purple cars going heads up.

both cars pull up going around watering hole and both do dry burn outs. both pull up. ease into the stage light goes green there off bud gets a jump on jingles but midway starts to slow. jingles takes advantage of it and pulls away threw the gate by 3 bud goes threw gate and flips over on track and slides to a stop.

track has been checked. now its time. both racers are called to the line both come in and head straight to the watering hole zeb pull out first leaving a cloud behind him. jingles pulls out making a long burn pass the tree.zeb pulls into staging waiting on jingles. jingles is messing with zeb taking his time inching in. both are staged lites go green there both lifting the fronts off the ground. both side by side and zeb inches in front going threw gate by a fender. jingle hooks a rail slides and bounce's back on track slides into track wall back onto the trackand coast to the run off area. nice save jingles:thumbsup:

Well I'll be danged! That car wasn't supposed to do that well. I tested it out and it sure didn't seem like it rolled that well. I don't know what's worse, going out in the first round or going to the finals and coming up just short. I've done that twice now. Congratulations Mr. "Two Day Build"! It was fun racing against you. I would have wrecked the paint on your roof just like I did when Ward and I raced in TD1, but you don't have a roof. That's lucky for you. By the way, I forgot to send a title with my car, so if you wouldn't mind sending me your address, I'll get it in the mail to you.

Well, back to moving for me, made a lot of progress today so far, still right on schedule to have all our stuff in the door by Monday night. Had to move stuff alone today, have Stef's help tomorrow for the rest of the van/pickup truck stuff, then the uhaul on Monday. You two had great bulids and definitely deserve the top spots. These cars completely rely on the technical aspects to be true and accurate, and you both nailed it. Screw it up and you'll be on your roof in no time, lol.


You are all welcome to race with the Texas Diecast Racing Association anytime. We race monthly and have classes for anything you can build! There are custom awards and an annual points championship.
