How Do You Bleed Air Out Of Shock ? What Kind Of Oil And Weight ?
I Have 2006 Ke1, Took Shocks Apart To Find Very Little Oil Inside, Added Some Oil And Shock Acts Like An Air Pocket Will Not Let It Compress. Tried Bleeding Though The Top Still No Luck, Pistons Do Have Holes In Them.
Any Help Would Be Grateful. Thanks

With holes in the pistons you will have to use heaver oil to get the right dampening I rather use lighter oil no holes but get you a small funnel screw it in the top fill with oil work slowly back n forth until you see no bubbles then push the shaft up remove funnel slowly screw cap back in while holding the bottom of shaft compressed up until cap is tight

Do it this way to keep from hydrolocking

You may also have worn shafts and o-rings depending on how much you race I would replace those every 6 months and rebuild shocks everytime it hits the track hope this helps

A syringe makes good funnel for this.

I use a plastic perfume funnel. Ebay sells them.

I have found that a piece of clear plastic hose 1/2 inch ID about 1 &1/2 inches long placed over the threads of the shock works great. Fill the hose just about full of oil and pump the piston up and down a few times. Then let them sit a little bit and pump again until all the air bubbles are gone. Then with the piston compressed screw the top on and you should be all set!!!....:beatdeadhorse::beatdeadhorse:

If you are used to 1/10th scale shocks, don't build them that way. You do not want rebound, you want the opposite. I saw them being rebuilt at a 1/4 scale race and would have NEVER thought of doing it that way.
Seems backwards to me but who can argue with results?

I just fill the tube with oil, I leave the bottle off. I only loose a small amount of oil, and catch it in a rag. By doing it this way you don't chance getting any dirty oil in your new oil.
