The NEWS Story I read said "Don't Worry About US, the JULY Race won't be affected" If you are going to worry, worry about the neighboring HOMES and HOUSES that has over a foot of standing water in them.

Some people of be happy to deal with a foot. North of Daytona, in Jacksonville, the Black Creek area 19 feet.

Quick question, the area thats recieving all the heavy rain, have they had normal rain fall or are they in the drought section of Florida???.Kinda,sorta. In Jax,we are...er,.."were" behind on our rainfall. Around FL,we would be into our fire season right now. So,it's a good thing we have had all this rain.

But,.....hurricane season starts on June 1-only a couple of weeks away.

LOL, Lived on Labordi dr. just off Mirror Lake in Fruitland Park and worked for Phillips Buick Pontiac GMC for 15 years ( they moved just north of town a couple years ago ) dont go messin up my old stompin grounds. Good Luck with your business, I,ve heard that area with it,s retirement community,s is still doing very well.
BTW. some of the best Bass and speck fishing in the southeast is on the south side of Lake Harris on each side of Helena Run theres a nice drop off with unmarked brush piles, runs parrallel to the cypress trees about 20 yards out, Bass, Speck ( Crappie for you Georgia boys ) and the occasional Sunshine Bass.

Go south on Hwy 27 as your leaving Leesburg theres a park with a boat ramp on the left ( not sure what it,s called now we always referred to it as queer pier ), put in there and follow the shoreline to your right you,ll come to some heavy/old cypress growth Helena run comes in a couple hundred yards down. Mid day flipping into the cypress stumps can be good ( purple n black or dark rootbeer jigs or crawfish ) for big fish the drop off is good for numbers of fish.
