HOTLANTA DOWNHILL RACING
Racing will start on Friday morning June 12th at 10am and run until noon. Open track time will be provided before racing begins, starting at 9:30am.
Top three finishers in each class will be awarded. Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday at 9am
We will be running four classes and each class will be limited to thirty-two cars. There is a two car entry limit for each class. Cars will be run four at a time with the top two cars advancing until the final four. The final four cars will race one on one. All races are single elimination. No restarts, unless there is a starting gate failure or all cars fail to finish.
Classes will be the following:
Classic stock (1969 to 1988)
Modern stock (1989 to 2009)
Modified
and
Unlimited
Rules are as follows
Classic Stock
Cars and trucks produced between 1969 and 1988.
Completely stock, not altered in anyway. Cars do not have to be carded. Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Johnny Lightning castings are allowed.
Modern Stock
Cars and trucks produced between 1989 and 2009.
Completely stock, not altered in anyway. Cars do not have to be carded. Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning and Green Light castings are allowed.
Modified
Cars may use any production parts by any manufactor. No custom parts, homemade parts or weight may be added. No parts may be altered in any way. Wheel swaps and metal bases are the basics in this class. Wheels and axles may be trued or polished. Cars must retain all parts designed to be on the casting used.
Unlimited
Bodies may be stock, altered or fully custom. Bases may be altered or a full custom chassis may be used. Wheels and axles may be altered. Adding weight is permitted. No propulsion systems.
Racing program is a DCS/TXDRA joint venture and the track will be provided by Peachstate HotWheels Collectors Club
