I'm putting together a stock late model. I might swap motors in it once in while to run modified. Just depends on if they need to fill a class. I'll do some Thursdays this year, and most of the Saturday and Sunday shows.

As far as Late Models on Thursdays, I'd guess if at least 3 show up, they will run them!

A couple ran some practice laps Sunday. I'd imagine if enough people show an interest a class could be created,

Are you running any 1/10 sliders? If so, what are your rules? Also, do you run rubber tires or foams. Last question. :) What is the start time this Saturday?

1/10 Sliders run with the Outlaw Sprints. That class is pretty much run what you brung! Both rubber and foam tires are legal as is any motor. Saturday afternoon, gates open at 3 with racing at 5. Please come join us!

Are foams the way to go, or some kind of buggy tire?

Just wanted to say thanks for sending the schedule and the rules. ;)

The Dirt Oval weekend with Raceway 42 looks like fun. Do you run the Sliders and the Mini Lates stock or modified or both and what tires do you require?

Thanks,
Dale

Crusty
06-23-2009, 05:16 PM
You are very welcome! Mini Late Models usually run both classes. I don't believe there have been any modified Sliders yet this season. 3 vehicles to make a class, if enough show up, they will run. Stock Minis run box stock tires, modifieds can run foams.

I just spoke with Don about the Slashes. At this point, we are letting the guys that run them pretty much deceide the rules for this class. Box stock, as far as motor and speed contol, and a lipo battery seems to be popular. I would imagine a mod class would be possible also. The only problem we had with them, was picking up the transponder signal. This is due to the heighth of these trucks. Please mount your transponders as low as possible in the chassis. Those using track transponders can devise a way to secure them on the chassis instead of to the body. Anyone wanting to see a way to do this, look me up at the track.

Questions on what classes will be run at the Shoot-out and rules for those classes. I checked out Raceway 42's rules and there are some differences between the two race tracks. Trucks in particular, foams or rubber tires? What is considered STOCK!? And finally, what about side dams on stock trucks? Tim C.

As far as I know, the same classes we run, will run there. They are allowing rubber tires on stock trucks for this event. Stock is a 27 turn brushed or 13.5 brushless motor, 6 cell NIMH any size or 4000 mah Lipo, 2.2" wheels, no side air dams, 3" maximum rear spoiler.
