Makes me want to see a Charlie Chaplin flick. sbaxter 05-15-2009, 04:23 PM We got the Blu-ray ... what a great movie, and the picture is just jaw-dropping amazing. I'm ready for Up -- and then the first two Toy Story movies in 3D in October ... Qapla' SSB Gemini1999 05-15-2009, 04:44 PM I love this movie! I saw it in the theatre when it came out and then promptly bought it on DVD the day it was available. I've probably watched the film at least 10 times since I got the DVD. This film never fails to make me smile and I find the quality of the CGI to be absolutely eye popping to watch. What's really amazing is that this film has so little actual dialogue in it. Once, I turned on the subtitles just to see what the 'bots were actually saying at times. Damn - now I'm gonna have to watch this again tonight! Bryan JeffG 05-15-2009, 07:18 PM It was a hoot watching the captain lean in the chair as it zipped around the bridge! Jodet 05-16-2009, 12:03 PM You know those movies that everyone loves but you hate? This is one for me. Ohio_Southpaw 05-16-2009, 03:12 PM You know those movies that everyone loves but you hate? This is one for me. Count me in on that too. Except for the visual effects when he is out in space, I felt the story was bland, the characterizations were lacking and the story failed to keep me interested beyond waiting for something good to happen. JeffG 05-16-2009, 03:57 PM I usually don't care much for CGI animated stories as most follow the same formula; character starts out happy, then gets lost or pulled out of their comfort zone / home /familiar surroundings, extreme sadness and hopelessness, they bond with a new group that helps them then BAM...happy ending. However there was enough that was innovative in Wall E for me to still enjoy it. Though personally as far as CG films, I still liked Beowulf more. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
