There's no substitute for cubic engines.

Is this thing crazy or what? I posted some pics of the four engined custom I made on the Hot Wheels forum and a member from Hungary posted a pic of one of these. I couldn't believe that this car was actually made by someone and of course I had to have one. This one is in excellent condition and is one of my favorite cars in my collection now.
The scale is about 1/32. Enjoy!

definitley crazy, and even crazier, its based on a real car, not a fantasy car never made!

That is TOOOOOO COOOOOOOL ! ! I am going to have to locate one of these for my Mustang collection. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Back in 2003, something rather special was brought to display at our annual All Ford Show in Milwaukee. That is the original owner in the yellow jacket.

The car was not running, but the owner and his son were talking about getting it back in full drag racing shape. The owner wanted to do some vintage races with it. I never did see anything more on it. Enjoy !

Great pix of the toy and the real deal, which looks a bit narrower than a standard Mustang. I havent seen this toy before so perhaps there arent many of them out there........the Politoys that I have seen in boxes like this have all been 1/43 before -perhaps the toy is 1/43 length with extra width
And it must be a first making the toy with opening doors when the real car doesnt feature them!!!!!!!!

Not really a big fan of Mustangs (even though I learned to drive on a '66) but that is really a cool toy. I have never seen one before. Thanks for posting it up!

I've found another one, this is a variation made in Mexico. Its not in very good condition though and its missing the headers on the sides. I might customize it if I can find another in better shape. I wonder which is rarer, the original made in Italy or the repros made in Mexico. These are the only two I've ever seen.

Typically, the originals are much easier to find than the recast models from Mexico. Don't know how many different models they sent to Mexico? McGregor is the name attributed to all the Mexican Politoys, even if it is not on the baseplate...

What a delight to see this model, in the original paint job of the real Mach IV Mustang. I'm the owner of the real car (guy in yellow jacket in photo), and used to have a model like this, which 'walked off' sometime through the years. My daughter sent the link to this Web site this morning, and we're really enjoying seeing these models.

Where did you find the model? It sure would be fun to own one again.

By the way, we'll be at Francis Creek, Wisconsin, next weekend, Saturday, July 11, with the Mach IV Mustang as part of French Creek Days. If you're in the neighborhood, it would be fun to meet you.

Hi Gary,

It's a pleasure to see you post on the board. I posted the pictures of your car at our car show in Milwaukee. Our Mustang Club would be honored to have your car at our car show again. This year show has come and gone, but next year would be FANTASTIC ! If you have a moment to drop me an e-mail at ... anvpny@sbcglobal.net (anvpny@sbcglobal.net), I would appreciate it. That way I have your contact info and I can send you some info on next years show toward the end of this year. Thanks !

Take care and have a great week all.

Hello Gary, Glad you found this post about your car. I've always liked the exhibition cars from the '60s and '70s and yours is one of my favorites. It was the inspiration for a custom I made for a contest on this forum. As I posted earlier, a guy from Hungary showed a pic of one of these Politoys and I had to have one.

I found both of these on E-Bay at the same time but I haven't seen any others. If I come across another I'll let you know. Wish I could meet you and see the car in Wisconsin but thats a little too far for a weekend ride for me, perhaps next year

Here's a few pics of the car I made.

Your model is awesome! My injected 351 small blocks wouldn't have a chance against your blown hemis. No wonder you need wheelie bars!

Amazing! :woohoo:

I'm getting closer to retirement, and eventually I'll be coming down to Florida, so I'll be able to meet more people.

Hi All,

Well I finally managed to find the Politoys Mustang Mach IV on ePay. With the exception of a crack in the windshield, it is in very nice shape. It even has all of the pipes on the engines !

Definitely a nice addition to the Mustang Garage

Congtrats Scott, when I found mine it had been repainted blue, and I had no idea what it was supposed to look like originally. I sits low on the priority list to restore, but perhaps I can bump it up, looking at the graphics of yours.
