I have a 6 hp Tecumseh engine in my sons gocart.
It is very hard to start (no choke type, has primer) when it does start it will not idle.
Once the motor is warmed you it will start and rum just fine.
I have taken the carb off and cleaned it out. Did not take it apart completely but did remove the bowl and float and blew all the passages with air.
The carb is a non adjusting type (no needles).
Have put it back on now even with a fuel filter with no change.
Does anyone know what I should look for?

Please let me know. Thanks

if theres no idle screw just cut a loop out of the spring... just make sure it's not idleng to fast that the sintrifical clutch kicks in

These engines dont like being started cold on idle speed. Oldsmobile_man check your flywheel key.

These engines with the EPA carburetors are set up very lean, they do not run well until the engine warms up a bit. I would say your engine is pretty normal if it works alright once the engine is warmed up.
