hey mike ...I think this will be a great class......curious why Mccallister only bodies?

This class has been in the building stages for awhile. And after having several other tracks/owners involved in the rule package we thought it to be best to stick with the McCallister body due to it's thicker design and Durability. Along with the fact that this is the body that other tracks have ran all season, Last season.

As for the protoform body? It's way too light and has way too many tuning options with the rear wing. Not to say they couldnt be run in any other class. We(tracks involved) Feel as though they can't be mixed in the same class.

We're really excited to get this class off the ground, There should be a multi-track series coming this season with all tracks running the exact same rules.

That sucks that you changed the date at the last minute, I would have made it with more notice and if you run it on Saturday you should have the same hours that you have when you run it on Sunday so you can finish at a desent hour. Just my .02

I think what Bob was referring to is that the Summer Series could have been run on Saturday and more people would have attended. Look, at best, they could have run half the series on Saturday and half on Sunday. By stincking to their guns they shut out many people that would have travelled. Too bad!

See you in the fall,
Antonio

SO, How about this new Sportsman Classs that's being offered at Turn 4? This is perfect platform for any new or returning racer to get up to speed with chassis tuning and driving. Turn 4 will be open again on July 5th for regular club racing. Next points race is July 19th.

1 COT car last weekend from a NY racer. No interest yet for the summer but many of our racer's take the summer off to race dirt. We're hopefull the class will gain interest in the fall when the season starts.

The class never got a chance during the regular racing season so, since no one showed up over the summer they decided it was to slow and there was no interest but, a few of us are bringing the COT 17.5 with us for Stockified and I think there will be enough for a FUN class. See you there

From what I saw Sunday it's going to be pretty close to the old 4 cell stock speed. I believe Nick Dorocz made one qualifying run and went 54 laps with a COT body. It'll be interesting at the Stockified race. See you all there, Bill B.
