Here is my good deal I thought?
I bought a Murray riding mower for a hundred bucks and knew it would not run.
I found the problem was a swelled closed fuel line. This was a office type guy so thought I was good to go.But I think this guy turned or messed with any thing he could get to or find.It seemed to have low compression fires and smokes bad like rings. But unless stuck from sitting the mower looks like very low hours for a 2003.Shows no wear on belts and blades or tires. So I don`t know what I have got into. But I am retired so time to piddle with it.Plus I have always like to know what makes things work or not work.He said it was running in October but looks like may have been left out in the rain.It is firing and blowing lots of smoke.I ran out of time today but will take any advice. The number on the engine is ( 5BSSXS.3442VM ) 276012 I have not been able to find these numbers on any parts list. The crank case had a lot of gas in it but think that was from him pouring gas in the carburetor.
Thank`s Wink
