I have been wondering if my Mamba Sidewinder Micro is waterproof. I have researched it and read both side. Some said it is not waterproof and some said it is. Just wondering if you guys had any idea on this.

Thanks,

Why don't you call Castle and ask them?

I don't think so! The control smd devices can be conformally coated to protect them from water but devices that get hot under normal operation and need to convect for a heat transfer can not be conformally coated.

isn't there a video out of a sidewinder micro running under water? I think it is a case of it actually is, but castle will not lay claim to that to avoid potential warranty issues if one happens to fail due to water issues.

I believe it is "water resistant" not proof.
