Independence Weekend
Championships



Classic RC Raceways is hosting this event July 4th, and 5th.
Sat track will open at 8am for practice, Drivers meeting will be at 10.45 and racing will start at 11am. We will run all heats on Saturday this will give plenty of time to go watch some crackers, and all mains on Sunday.

Racing Fees will be 60.00 for the first class and 15.00 for each additional.
Pre Entries before July1st will receive a 10.00 discount for the first class. You can sign up for this event at ClassicRCRaceways.com. All checks or money orders will need to be received by June 30 th to get the 10.00 discount. Pre entries will be greatly appreciated so we can get a better idea on who’s coming

Entry fees will include racing, 1ticket for a free meal to use any of the three days, and 1 raffle ticket for one of the big prizes that is being supplied and or donated by one of the manufacturers helping to sponsor this event.
At this time we have KOPROPO AMERICA, XRAY ,MUGEN, ASSCOCIATED, TRAXXAS, HPI, LOSI, PARMA, PROTOFORM, and last but not least AMERICAN RENTALS of Springfield Township for donating the Equiptment for the awsume track that is going to be designed and built for this event.
Here at Classic RC Raceways we provide outside electric, inside and outside bathroom facilities, concession stand and full kitchen, and Hobby Shop.
Plenty of room for campers who would like to stay the weekend and electric will be supplied, just bring a cord.
Track will close at dark but there will be a campfire for all to enjoy.

I spoke with Steve regarding the July 4-5 race. There is change in the format of the Independence Weekend Race:

On Saturday July 4 we will run 3 qualifiers and the mains. On Sunday July 5 we will run 3 qualifiers and the mains. Points will be awarded for finishing position and the overall winners will be those who have the most points. This will permit people who only want to race a single day to show up and race a complete show. Cost is $50 for both days or $30 for a single day. 10% of the entries from each class will be returned to the points winners of each class as a prize. There will be door prizes on both days. There will be a campfire and BBQ Saturday after the racing. People are welcome to camp.

There will be a warmup race on the new track build Friday July 3. Two qualifiers and the mains - $10.
