This convoluted point system that puts a driver who hasn't won a race this season in first place in the points and one who has won two races just barely breaking into the top twelve? Inquireing minds want to know. :freak:

Don't know. I watch NASCAR just like I used to watch wrestling in the 80's as a kid. Knowing must of the time its fixed. At least they are showing the debris as proof of why they threw the caution.

It's due to consistency. If you run top 5 week after week you can stay at the top of the points. But if you win one week, finish 23rd another, then 30th, then win again, you won't have the same points as a driver that stays in the top five week in and week out even though that driver may have no wins. I definitely think the point system is in serious need of an adjustment, and the chase just needs to go away all together.

Exactly. I was a big Nascar fan. Now I no longer watch. I absolutely despise the chase. Any body who is not involved in the chase has to drive on eggshells because they have to be extra careful around guys who are in it. They repaved Bristol, and that track is not the same anymore. Cant stand it. I also cant stand that little punk Kyle Busch either. Hall of fame driving talent in a little league brain. I am sure he will mellow out as he gets older, but I just cant stand to watch him now. Dishes it out, but cant take it.

I,m guessing the driver your refering to Winning two races and still just barely in the top twelve is Mark Martin. He's Ran Great this year BUTT he,s had three finishes of 40th or worse...2 blown engines ( California and Las Vegas ) and he was in the first Big one at Talledega. Give him 15th or better in those three races and he would be leading the points with a nice cushion.
