I just replaced the piston and sleeve in my t-maxx 3.3, and after I broke it in I noticed it was very sluggish and chuggy off the start, but once I got going it ran kind of good. I'm puzzled can you help???

sounds like you might be a little rich on the bottom end

so i should try leaning the low speed needle

yes try and lean the bottem out a little, do the pinch test (pinch the fuel line it should speed up and die with in 3-5sec. if lower then 3sec then richen it, and it more then 5sec lean it out.
