Packard has long been a favorite marque of mine. I remember well the '54 Clippers and the tri-colored Caribbeans of 1955. So when much older Packard models become available for very good prices, I am always interested. This 1/18 scale 1930 Packard LeBaron by Signature had some problems just like most older 1:1 cars usually do. But problems tend to be reasonably fixable. On the model, the rear door hinge pin was missing as well as the rear door handle. The handle was made out of a small piece of metal and a thin metal pin was found to replace the missing one.

The various reviews of the stately Lebaron were quite positive as the model includes carpeting, a wood-trimmed dash, a half-lowered privacy window between the passenger and driver compartments, a removable chauffeur top, nice chrome wire wheels, whitewall tires, two- tone paint, all four doors opening, and realistic light lenses. For only $20, I am certainly satisfied to have this beauty in my collection.
