you know I wish they would put double wheels (side by side)on the back of the ambulance and the back doors would open! just like in real life. matchbox please put some guts in it this time!!! but the question is WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED?????

I doubt that the casting will actually have 2 wheels side by side on the rear axles. The thickness of the wheels in the Matchbox database would make it too awkward, as by the time they are done, there would hardly be any base between them to hold it all together. They need to pass a rigorous safety test to ensure they do not break easily, and with a thin base area on the axle it may cause it to break too easily.

However, the Ambulance itself is slated for a release in either July or August (as it stands) however with new castings things are always subject to change.

I like the new matchbox truck style wheels... they are thinner than the other tires... I wish they'd to a double, rear one-piece tire, with a split in the center to make them look like dual wheels.... not sure if the manufacturing process would allow them to do that, but anything's possible!!
