Why not a smaller version of Big Frankie...?
Like about 10" tall...?
It would be cheaper too.

I second that.

Yes! That's a good idea to make a smaller version of Gigantic Frankenstein.

Plus a cheaper easier to build kit is affordable by kids who might later buy the Supersized kits.

I think Moebius should try to get kids to build kits again because they will be future customers. Simpler kits like just 2 or 5 pieces and lower priced. I was in a hobby store and saw the flying sub for $67.10 and thought no kid can afford that. (As an older collector I don't mind the price tag.)

As a novelty, what if Moebius brought back the .98 cent model kit for kids. Something really simple like two pieces to build.

I love the idea of a 'Little Franky'!

That said, I think with the release of the small FS and Robot kits Moebius will have 'kid affordable' kits

The FS is small, but not so simple if one tries to paint it. The mini-sub is not so easy either. When I saw those headlights to be installed, I figured Moebius must be joking--although with Swiss Army knife tweezers and a magnifier, I got them in. Of course kids have better (read some) vision up close. Ditto for the searchlights on the diving bell.

Kids need something along the line of the Aurora/PL Godzilla--big parts that can be put together quickly.

Are you kidding me? After shelling out $175.00 a couple years back for a 9 lb. resin cast, I was thrilled when they said they were bringing back the Big Frankie!! We're talkin' one of THE most sought after kits of
Aurora collectors! I saw pieces and parts on ebay goin' for hundreds of dollars! I bought 3 right away, and I see more in the future probably! A little version would be too kool to go with him and save on the $$$ too, but I'm still lovin' the reissues!!!! And the box art, stuff dreams are made of.....

Most kits can't be shipped in bulk for .98, no less produce anything. A good color box is almost that much. I hate to say, if anyone will get kids interested, it's their parents. We really don't make anything aimed at kids because they are such a small demographic that truly has very little interest. We're still a business that needs sales to survive. I wish it could be more positive, but it's just a reality.

Agree, Moebius. My daughter was interested for a while; built several kits, but lost interest as she got older. Occasionally I can interest her in building something with me for a while now (she's 10) and she has helped with the Seaview. But that's about it.

I'm sorry for blaming such an utterly cool guy like Auroranut for my sick, twisted sense of humour, but I'm Canadian and can't help it.

BTW, has anyone heard anything from A-corpse lately?
