Mercedes C111 & Ford Osi.
I have the originals of these castings; I think the 350SL looks good with the bundt cake wheels but of course incorrect as those did not appear until well after the car became the 450SL and, in America, had those big ugly bumpers. ('75 or so).
Was that a set of four models? There was a Porsche set of four silver cars issued around the same time.

I think it was in this order (silver reissues associated with the Märklin Museum):
1992 - Porsche 911T, 910, 907, 914 in a box
1993 - Ford Capri + Ford OSI in a clear sleeve
1993 - Chevrolet Corvette + Opel Manta in a clear sleeve
1994 - Mercedes 350SL + C111 in a clear sleeve

Karl - I got that Porsche set in the fall of 1994 at a toy show/swap meet in the cafeteria of the BMW corporate headquarters on the northwest side of Munich. I have been to the Marklin museum in Goppingen but do not remember seeing any of the three other silber sets you list. I love the quality of Marklin. - ranchero -

Hey Ranchero, I think they must have been limited releases at the Museum and did not last long there. I got all mine off of different European dealers in the mid 1990s...
