Did anyone else catch the hilarious scene in Fringe last night that referenced the storyline of the new Trek movie? It was soooo funny

Oh and the scene they played from the movie.... WOW! Powerful...

Oh and the scene they played from the movie.... WOW! Powerful...Not just that scene, but there was also the parallel universe subplot running through the episode -- and the one scene where Olivia crosses from one reality to another, and finds a version of her co-worker, Charlie, with a scar on his face, alá Sulu from "Mirror, Mirror." And on top of that, we got Leonard Nimoy (still voice only -- so far) as William Bell at the end of the episode.

Which makes me wonder ... When Nimoy is seen as Bell (probably next week), why wouldn't the characters on the show -- Peter, at least, who seemed to be fairly well-versed in Trek lore -- recognize his resemblance to the man who played Spock?

Hmmmm ...

Things that make you go hmmmm..... ;)

Dang, the "Mirror, mirror" reference slipped past me. Thanks for pointing that out. Clearly, JJ, Orci, and Kurtzman are having some fun playing with all of us Trekkies. :)

And Clint Howard's apartment number was 1701.

Actually I think they layed it on a little too thick.

Everyone raise a glass of Tranya to Fringe!

[You know whats really weird?...from the day this show started (I love it!) I have called it "Fer-ring-ee"...not knowing the inevitable Trek connections!]

and there was a character named Grayson in the show.

I mentioned it to my wife, how it might be a Trek/Spock reference. She just rolled her eyes.
