Being a huge fan of drag racing and gassers, I couldn't wait to start my car for this race. This had been in storage for quite a while, maybe to long to think about. After we took the tarp off, it was a little worse for wear than I thought. Peeling and faded paint, rust, rotted tires and the rims weren't that great either. We had to throw the new shoes on it just to move it out of the garage.

The interior was trashed thanks to mice, and lots of the wiring was going to need replacing. So we loaded it on the trailer to take to the shop.

In a short period of time the interior was cleaned up, new seats, wiring, steering wheel, and dash with gauges. Some touch up welding on the roll cage and a fresh coat of black paint and it was ready for primer.

In the meantime the engine was being worked on. Completely rebuilt, tons of new chrome and goodies, but I won't tell you much more than that. I don't want the competition to know everything.
Last but not least, a fresh coat of paint and some sponsor decals and we're off an running. It'll be loaded on the trailer and heading out Thursday or Friday.
