View Full Version : 2010 1/4 Scale Paved Oval Nationals
Freddie's Hobbies 05-05-2009, 03:20 PM Hello Everyone,
Its time to start yet another Annual event @ Freddie’s Hobbies that you will not want to miss!
August 7, 8 2010 Freddie’s will host the 1st Annual ¼ Scale Paved Oval Nationals.
August is (normally) a month that has no QSAC - NCS race dates. So, now with the “1st Annual ¼ Scale Paved Oval Nationals” ALL you ¼ Scale Racers will have a BIG event to attend in August! Anyone that has raced here (Freddie’s) before knows that a two day event is something you will not want to miss.
We will follow all QSAC rules and classes (Grand National, Sportsman, Super Truck, and Sprints). of course; it will be a two-day event with open practice on Friday August 6th. Saturday (7th) will be single car qualifying and two rounds of heat races. Sunday will be mains only. The winner of this event will have bragging rights of beating the best of the best from across the country so pencil in those dates and start making plans now.
No excuses for anyone to miss out on this fun filled action packed event!!

jeffdavis38 05-05-2009, 10:51 PM Need to be a friday and saturday race. Need sunday to travel home. Just my 2 cent.
Freddie's Hobbies 05-12-2009, 08:51 AM The thought did cross my mind for that, but then I thought to myself if I were to go to a race like that it would be a 5-day event. And regardless which days I pick there will be those wishing it was another way. You were going to have to take Thursday and Friday off for a Friday and Saturday race. So what difference does it make if it’s a Friday Monday off?
I guess I just looked at it as two days off no matter how you look at it, I had hoped by planning ahead people would make plans in advance. It is over a year away I am hopping people make the proper arrangements. :)

For us to make proper Arrangements you need to post your schedule for this race. Freddie, besides Two days off that's for local racers only! For us out of towners it's a five or six day race. I agree with Jeff, Race Friday & Saturday and drive home Sunday.

I'm not sure Freddie but I think it's easier to get two days off in one pay period than one day off in two pay periods?
jeffdavis38 05-13-2009, 12:23 AM That right. The boss likes it that way. Being off each week don"t set well with them. This month is rough on me any way. Thursday and friday the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends of the month.
It would be easier but don't change it for me. See all of you soon!!!
willyplankhead 05-13-2009, 08:17 AM I'm not sure Freddie but I think it's easier to get two days off in one pay period than one day off in two pay periods?yea brent your right on that one most places I have worked for have been that way
Freddie's Hobbies 05-13-2009, 08:49 AM You guys are killing me,
Considering its 15 months away, and all of you guys are use to the QSAC way of a Friday and Saturday race. I will change the dates to the 6th , 7th.
That’s it though, the dates are written in stone. Everyone is welcome to plan now and come to what is going to be one GREAT event. One two-day race for all the marbles, its going to awesome.
LetsRace 05-13-2009, 08:57 AM im sure they have tryed it both ways. must be that way for a reason.
I know they use sunday as a rain date too incase saturday doesnt' work out.
Even with that the last NCS event i went to out of town, almost half the field left because they had to travel back on sunday. even though they knew sunday was rain date. but whatever ,doesn't matter to me.
jeffdavis38 05-13-2009, 01:01 PM Thanks for understanding Freddie. We will see you at the Tri-state race in a few weeks.
