tjettim 05-05-2009, 02:20 PM Wow.I wonder which cars kicked the price up?
I have most of those.
Bill Hall 05-05-2009, 02:33 PM Candy 'Stangs
Hi Carumba!
slotcarman12078 05-05-2009, 02:39 PM Yes, the mustangs are the big $$ there, but the other things add to it. The RR Xing is another 30-40.00, the stop light is another 100.00, There's 2 decent riv's, a decent candy cobra, and a one piece VW bug. Add in all the other stuff and I can see it at his level..almost. Way too rich for my blood.. at least buying it all in one shot.

Dyno Dom 05-05-2009, 05:38 PM The Candy Mustangs are the bait, most eveything else is weight!
win43 05-06-2009, 07:06 PM The candy stangs are nice.
Not sure the condition of the other cars warrant this kind of price.
A/FX Nut 05-06-2009, 07:58 PM The Candy Mustangs were in the Ford Aurora Competition Pacs. Just bodies, no chassis. And you got 2 bodies per Pac. Also in the Comp Pacs are a controller, tire trac, and decals.
The Comp Pacs were sold only to hoddy stores that ran Ford Aurora races.
The traffic light, if it works can sell for way over $100.00. I've seen them sell for $450.00.
The Candy Painted Ford GT Cobra is a rare car also. The candy painted ones came out before Aurora perfected the chrome plating process.
The other items and cars I wouldn't consider just weight. They all have a value. If it was just the Candy Stangs, Candy Ford Cobra GT, and the Traffic Light Intersection in this auction it wouldn't be any where near the over $1500.00 it is now. Randy.
tjd241 05-06-2009, 08:28 PM .... Waaay more than I should, could, or ever would pay... For a collector building their collection I guess I could see it... but then again I see cuts, hogs, and missing parts too. You would really have to love (and not have) some of THESE t-jets I'd say. nd
A/FX Nut 05-06-2009, 08:40 PM Take another look at that Ford Cobra GT. It looks like someone repainted it. The rear window looks like it's been painted. Randy.
slotcarman12078 05-06-2009, 09:12 PM I agree with you A/FX.. The stop light is a pricey item. I didn't notice the stop light controller in with all the transformers. It might be in there or not. Complete working with the controller 450.00 is in the ball park. HO models did a repop of the light, pole and base so caveat emptor on this lot if someone here is thinking about it....
clydeomite 05-06-2009, 09:27 PM This Auction got me to polishing up my Candy Stangs. Except I got all three Red/ Green/ Blue oh yea 2 of each. HMMMM Maybe I'll throw in a Super II witha quadra lam arm just to sweeten the deal!!!!!!!!

videojimmy 05-07-2009, 11:37 AM HO Models made a great repop of the traffic light, with the timer right built into it... he was selling them for 100 bucks, complete. I bought one and was glad I did... they;re really great and they add alot of fun to a layout
bobwoodly 05-07-2009, 05:06 PM Bought a bunch of stuff yesterday and in the bottom of the box was an intersection with a original traffic light - plugged it in and got some good buzzing from the transformer/timer but no lights. Anyone have some troubleshooting ideas? Thanks!
btw I saw this auction before this thread and could not figure out how it got to $1,500 and so quickly!
Tom
Nevermind! Got it working - helps if you find a wiringing diagram, but have one bulb burned out!
