LOSI_Duck 08-02-2009, 07:02 PM We had 68 entrants and a nice day of racing!!! We had an hour long rain delay but we were able to finish the racing. Our next scheduled race is September 26th.
We are looking into trying to put together a club race before then. Maybe a North VS the South (Grand rapids and North VS the Kzoo and South racers.) If anyone has any ideas and suggestions on this please feel free to post about it and help us out.
Thank you again to everyone that showed up and supported the M40 Gobles race track.

yeah yeah as if James had absolutely nothing to do with your calculations. ~Remembering your walk as you tried to "Measure" the width of the pit area.~ I wanted to ask you this but I forgot so I will ask you now. "Did you want fries with that shake?" LOL Guys all I can tell ya is this: If he would have held up one hand and let the wrist go limp and put the other hand on his hip and put my purse over his shoulder he would have looked real natural.LMAO!!! For any of you that do not know Chad, "Uncle E" then I encourage you to stop out at his track "Proving Grounds" (still being built)and take the time to meet him.
As we have already been shown this year by three different track owners there is very little that track owners will not do to help out further the success of this sport and we would like to thank you all at this time. Thank you to John from BFG and Chad from Proving Grounds for the use of your scoring systems. Alton from M40 Jones for taking the time to come up and race with us. Your support of us and the track in Gobles will never be forgotten!!

That is the whole reason that I remind people that they have the arcade down there. Shoot for $5.00 they get a wristband and play all the pinball and arcade games they want. You can get tokens and play games that give tickets and then you can redeem them for prizes!! How much more fun can you ask for for $5.00? (Behave with your replies this is still a family thread) LOL

thats what zane does when we actually go down there to race...
LOSI_Duck 09-29-2009, 03:39 PM Duke that is great to hear!! Your girls will enjoy themselves. They have games that they will have never heard of before or ever played.(I didn't even know how to play a few of the games). Then again I had never heard of the game Corn Hole either.LOL
They even have hard to find brands of soda pop. Remember back when it all came in glass containers and you needed a bottle opener to get that first thirst quenching taste on a warm day? Well at M40 in Gobles you can still do just that! Remember the popping sound and the pressurized air escaping making that mist come out as you popped the top off?
Yeah I might be under 40 but I can still remember going to the gas station and getting an ice cold soda pop out of the cooler. Vending coolers like we have for news papers, on your honor system that you would only take one. Amazing when you think back to how that actually all worked. Honor and handshakes that's how life was run. When you walk into the Arcade you feel like you have stepped back in time. It is a great place to just de-stress from life. The staff are great folks that make you feel welcome at all times and are willing to assist in any way they can.
Momma Duck
LOSI_Duck 09-29-2009, 03:48 PM Don't forget that we are still giving out end of day plaques also on that day (October 3rd). So even if you will not have 4 races in by the end of the day you could still walk away with something!
In addition: the meaning behind "Racer Appreciation Day" is as follows:
Kim and Kevin will be feeding the racers for free that day while the racing is going on. I will let Kevin post on just how he wishes to proceed with that idea.
We haven't finalized the menu yet, but this Saturday we are going to feed all the racers (During the Race) We will hand out tickets that you can turn in to get a meal. We will also be selling meals to non-racers also. Kevin
~~Gobles will be celebrating their annual event called "October Fest" on October 3rd. They will have additional games and activities for everyone to enjoy that day!! We will be getting visitors to the track that day, they are going to be using a Double Decker bus to bring people from down town to the arcade. That means be prepared to do a lot of explaining that day as we hope to encourage more people to get into this and to demonstrate to them what a friendly group of people we have in this sport.~~
LOSI_Duck 10-04-2009, 12:07 PM Great season!!!! Thank you all for making it a great success and being patient with us Duck's on our first season of running the show!! We had a great time and look forward to doing it again next year!
