What about the G3's, cmon!!

I know a large part of the G3 force won't be on hand...

Scot's got "The Boys" Stryker ready for action again... (He's got a NEW SpeedPassion G/T speedo I had thought about trying...but I don't think it will fit where his GTB is.)

I wish ALL cars would use a 'real' type paint scheme. (I don't care if authentic or not) but I think the OVAL CARS painted to look like race cars make oval racing so much more identifiable than other forms of racing.

I really like when guys do their OWN scheme - In REAL car fashion!!

Locally we have

Gary Hamilton who has used a 24 car (jeff gordonish) for YEARS, Larry Ruby is usually a number 6. Jason Hastings uses a Harvick style #29 with his own paint scheme. Nic Case does his Florescent Orange number 12 - Scot Petitclerc use to be a BLUE number 4, but he's done his own jeff gordonish 24 most of the last few years, but at the ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT he ran a WHOLE NEW color package... I hope he goes to it - it looked really good and could become HIS colors!

I just want to wish everyone a safe time racing this weekend. I wanted to go ,but family issues will keep me out of this one. I'll be back for the Nimpomo race.

While NOT our biggest turnout - the RACING in Lindsay was pretty dang good on Saturday.

We did have 19 entries in the Sportsman 21.5 class and 6 of the BEST of the WEST in the Expert 21.5 class.

+Plus a FULL 8 car/TRUCK NASTRUCK field.

10 heats made up the days event, that also included Vintage Trans'Am cars on the oval.

Ken Collins took his 2nd "HobbyTalk" TQ on the carpet in the Expert 21.5 class, with Art Hernandez grabbing the TQ in the Sportsman division, and Scot Petitclerc in NASTRUCK.

The SPORTSMAN class would have A - C mains, with the winner of each bumping up into the next main.

Rapid Ron Burgess (aka the Tehachipi Flash) would WIN the "C" Main and bump into the "B" (Ron runs a STRYKER Chassis)

Bryan Myers (Last years 21.5 champion) struggled for speed and found himself sitting in the BQ position, with Keith Brown right on his bumper running his NEW 2K9 Stryker) Myers runs the 2K8.

The duo of Myers and Brown battled the entire 5 minute main, with KEITH trying everything he could to get an edge on Myers. Bryan, however, NEVER bobbled and NEVER gave in to the pressure Brown was putting on his rear bumper.

Myers wins the "B" and bumps to the "A" in a hard fought battle... (Win #2 for Stryker)

Since joining in the NASTRUCK Class - Scot Petitclerc has been TOUGH. Petitclerc has brought his "A" Game - and took the TQ and the MAIN Win - (Win #3 for the Stryker)

Art Hernandez got a great start in the 21.5 Sportsman "A" Main running his KSG G3, but a mid race collision cost him the lead, and Brian Bond was there to capitalize. Bond gets his 1st CARPET win of the 2009 season (Win #4 for the Stryker)

In the Expert 21.5 main, TQ Ken Collins would get out of the hole first but got a challenge from fellow HyperDrive racing John Birmele, who made the trip over from Las Vegas. Birmele and Collins would get together, and Stryker pilot Scot Petitclerc was there to take the lead. Collins and Birmele would continue to have good runs, but could not run down Scot who went on to make a STRYKER SWEEP of the weekend winning ALL (5) Main events of the day.

John,

How was SEAWORLD? Hope that EaRtHqUaKe didn't affect you guys at all - I know a lot of EAST COAST people really FEAR those!!! LOL

Thanks for coming out to race with us...

July 11th is the NEXT Date we are trying to get for the RUG, but they told me they can't confirm the facility until about 30 days prior. (I'm pushing to get it solid at least 45 days...LOL which would be REALLY SOON!
