I have been running the RC18T, and have been out of the loop on 10th scale stuff. I ordered me a traxxas slash, and was wondering if you guys could help me out with a few questions.

Right now, I am wanting to stick with regular batteries, and I actually need to order a few packs, what am I going to want for the best power? I'm not up on the numbers and stuff, so somebody recommend some good batteries.

If I do decide to upgrade to the brushless speed control and motor, is the lipo the way to go with that setup, or can you run regular batteries with it? If I do get lipo batteries, how long is the run time, how much do they cost per pack, and what would I be looking for? I'm not looking to race the truck, I am just looking for something somewhat fast to mess around with every now and then.
