View Full Version : Halloween Gigantic Frankenstein 3rd variation
BatToys 04-27-2009, 07:37 AM The orange background is nice on the Halloween Gigantic Frankenstein 3rd variation but can it be made to look more like the square box "Glow in the Dark" graphics?
Like Frankensteins face should be centered in the middle of the box,
the face should be flipped sideways on the box to fill up all the area,
the logo font should be changed to the seventies Glow white lettering font,
Moebius logo changed to Aurora seventies block logo style on lower right side,
Can anyone add more Aurora seventies touches?

karvin 04-27-2009, 07:47 AM I am sorry, But did I miss somthing ? First I am hearing of this. Sounds Interesting.
If real, this is news to me! But so was the new J2 and lil seaview LOL..
airdave 04-27-2009, 10:48 AM Someone designing a box cover?
The fonts look great!
Isn't this already a 60s/70s box design? ...looks familiar to me?!!
sorry to be so anal about it....
but why does everyone keep referring to him as "Frankenstein"?
when we all know he is the "Monster"
(This has bothered me all my life)
and is Glenn Strange the best version?
(I think not!)
is this not the same image/artwork from the Famous Monsters cover?
I don't know much about this Moebius company...but godlike praise to them for bringing back all these cool kits!!!! Thnak you from a child of the 60s/70s!)

Moebius 04-27-2009, 10:56 AM The box is done and approved by Universal, so no changes will be happening. It's just a flip of the colors, blue background and orange text, to orange background and blue text. Kit is close to WF exclusive, but plastic color and glow pieces have slightly changed. We have had a few complaints on every exclusive, wanting to know why we didn't do them for everyone. This is the kit for everyone. One production run, strictly for the preorders. Our license with Universal is done this Fall, so as far as I know, we won't do anymore Big Frankies. I think the interest is fulfilled!
mrmurph 04-27-2009, 11:38 AM What a neat idea! Thanks for the heads-up.
And it's a glow kit too. Niiiiiiicccce.
spocks beard 04-27-2009, 12:27 PM This is a cool idea:thumbsup:I don't have this kit yet, and it will be just in time for the halloween season kit builds.I usually build a lot of horror/Monster kits around that time of year. Thanks frank! I also see Polar lights is reissuing the Witch in a retro glow box edition,Another good one for the fall:dude:

hedorah59 04-30-2009, 02:33 PM My wife thought I was nuts for getting the Glow Big Franky - 'Why did you get another one? What's wrong with that one (pointing to my regular edition)?'
I think I will have to be a bit more secretive when this one comes in
