View Full Version : For something different...Vintage Ferrari F1
69Stang 04-26-2009, 09:22 PM I bought somewhat by mistake. But now that it's here, I think it's staying for a while! I have never purchased an F1 car, much less in this scale, but I do enjoy the vintage open wheel creations!

69Stang 05-02-2009, 09:08 PM Stunning car!
ClearHooter 05-18-2009, 01:31 PM Wasn't the '68 Lotus ("Gold Leaf?" or something like that.) the car that Jimmy Clark got killed in?
All great looking cars by the way.

Jimmy was killed in an F2 Lotus at Hockenheim on 7th April 1968 - his last GP, the South African, earlier the same year, was in a Lotus 49, still painted green - it was also his last win.
The Gold Leaf colours (red & gold) first appeared at the Spanish GP on 12th May - there was only one entry from Gold Leaf Team Lotus, for Graham Hill, who took victory, on the way to his second World Championship.
dragonhead00 06-01-2009, 05:19 AM Wow, those are some great racers. I'm not into F1 that much, but I wouldn't mind owning cars like those.
