My neighbor gave me this Matchbox Superfast the other day. It is a Lesney No.14 Mini-Ha-Ha from 1975. As you can see, the back end is jacked up causing the interior to be out of alignment and the windows to be way crooked. In addition to the chipped paint, the front left wheel has been bent significantly.

My question:

Recently an old Bugatti that had been stored since the 1960s sold at auction for $4.4 million in its original condition, that is, with rust, deterioration, etc. Would the same hold true for these old diecast or is it advisable to repair them?

Thanks for your help.

If you are only concerning with value, then no it doesn't increase the value. If you like to display these cars, then restore it.

With the amount of these cars produced I'm sure there are several mint examples out there.

Just squeeze the back end back together.. shouldn't be too hard to do... These aren't worth that much... they're pretty easy to find...
