Thanks for organizing this, it sounds like it should be lots of run.

Everyone try and get a non-capped racer to come and joint the fun. I'm sure that between all the regular cap guys, we can even come up with tires so they everyone can see how much fun cap racing can be and how cheap it really is.

You may wanna shoot Danny B a PM, he can get you pointed in the right direction. I know at one point, they were running 3 blues, and a silver RF, but I think they've re-sealed the track since then.

can we cut the back out in the 21.5 cars so we can get the wings off and on?

You can cut the backs out on all the outdoor Nascar style classes.

He contacted me already and we are all set. Thanks

Unless things have greatly changed I've run fast at Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown on good tri-clone tires.

Might save you some $$$ if you were planning to get other tires.

Hays, what is the Min. weight for 21.5 going to be? Thanks, Terry

MIDWESTRC

I believe it is 2 lbs 9 oz.

05-05-2009, 04:33 PM
Steve, down here in sunny (hot) already at 90 for the rest of the week, we would round that off to 41 oz's.

Are you going to make it to Easley for the Aug race, looks like Jeff, Armon, myself and Dave Irrgang will make this time?

MIDWESTRC
05-05-2009, 04:53 PM
Ron, go ahead and rub it in about the weather!!!!! We are lucky right now to hity 60 with sun.:( Don't think we will be making Easley this year, work is still on the slow side. So the funds aren't there. If we go come down it will be a last minute deal. Good luck and keep us filled in on how you all do.

This past winter in the BRL racing, the weight for 21.5 was 38 oz. If you add 1 oz for rubber tires, that would make it 39 oz. Doesn't matter to me what it is, as long as we all know going in to the summer season.

haysreeling

The weight will be 41oz. By the time you add the wing ( about an oz) and the heavier tires, you should only need to add an oz or so.

philb1
05-06-2009, 08:05 PM
I am fine with 38 oz

I would be okay with 36 oz but after throwing the car on the scale I wouldn't be unhappy with the 41 oz rule. Ran it last weekend (just didn't know it) at M-town and it ran better than great. I just would like to rip some weight off the car. What was the difference when we ran 4-cell between inside and outside. Thought it was 2 oz?

Could someone put up a weekend schedule so people could make a decision on weekend motel reservations etc.

Made motel reservation for June 5th.......soooooo it looks like if my ride is still on (Steve), I and Dave Hilpert will make it (finally). :) Really looking forward running w/ the Iowa crew in 21.5.....just take it easy on the poor old out of towner, I am not as fast as I thought I once was.
