Recently saw a pic of one posted. It seems that you can set a "ghost" car's speed and then race against it on the track. Racing against a car that is set at a constant speed isn't much of a challenge.

I recall a similar device that recorded your lap and then replayed it in a loop so you could use another lane to race against the computer controlled car.

Is there a device that does this? Was it from Tyco?

I had one once, its not quite that cool. Kind of a mechanical throttle hold that keeps the other car going at a constant speed. Turbos have enough grip to roll like that, but its no real challenge at all.

Somthing with an A.I. that could learn the layout would ROCK tho!
