It looks very plastic - I wish they had chosen to make an MG Montego or any 1970s Vauxhall Victor instead - I have plenty of LandRovers and wont be buying this one........

I have to concur - although a '66 Hillman Hunter would be top of my list. It will be interesting to see Corgi's announcements for 2009B.

Hi SMS88
The plastic content is about the same as any other modern model. I am glad that Corgi did bring this one out because IMHO it is far superior to the countless Oxford Diecast versions that have gaps where the bits don't fit correctly! Needless to say I didn't bother to purchase any of the OD versions becasue of this fault!
Why don't you inform Corgi of your ideas?
Cheers Chris

Again Steve why don't you inform Corgi of your wants. The '66 Hunter would be a good choice of subject and Corgi could produce the many varients to help with the costs.
Cheers Chris

They have Chris, albeit some time ago - I also seem to remember a couple of polls in Diecast (or Model) Collector, whereby suggestions were made. To be fair to Corgi, I think at least the Mk III Cortina resulted.

Re-running all of their first editions in exactly the same colours when they changed from cardboard to plastic display cases shows just how illjudged some corgi management decisions were even though they were warned in advance by all collectors who commented that a new colour would sell much better than one everybody already had..........
