My "personal shopper" arrived for a long weekend with two of my favorite people in tow along with the black "Qwik Start" 66 Galaxie to join the Green Machine in the display case. Lookin pretty good I think

That really seems like they did a fine job getting the "right look" , scale -wise.. Doesn't have that butt-dragging look that their 65 Galaxie is afflicted with..

I want one bad... but it will need massive re-tampo-ing to strip clean all the yellow ...
What do you think of the future release of the sweet looking 66 in pale yellow w/ the black vinyl roof that is up on Greenlights site?
Another color choice would be nice , but I'm anxoius for it to show up , regardless..

Looks nice. I am anxiously awaiting the yellow one as well.
I am with you on the black one as well Steve. Tampos would need to be removed and different wheels on the front.

The yellow car looks very good. The color is accurate for a 66 Ford color and the vinyl top looks OK too. All they need is to get the grille right and this will be an excellent casting.

The 65 convertible and now it looks like the hardtop have the greenhouse all wrong. That windshield is too upright and too high.

As far as the tail dragging I have a number of the factory promos and they all set too low in the rear as well.

I do not care for the tampos on these first two releases but as a Galaxie-starved diecast collector I will take anything they produce especially in the 66.
