ok... So im new to oval carpet and new to road cars and im new to electric but im not new to RC. I've ben Racing Nitro Stadium trucks for a few years. So hers my delema... Im running a 1/10 scale Pan car. 1s cell LiPo with a 13.5 brushless. im racing a flat short D shaped oval. Whats a good start for gears? the track is only a few months old and i am one of three guys that run this class. I'd normally just ask one of them but One guy is a 1/12 road racer and the other is a 4cell SK guy. (All of us are New to LiPo brushless.) we are all in the same boat as far as gears go. No Idea where to start.

Oh Ya... The track is called Turn 4. They have the big banked track in Stafford CT. this is their new track in west boylston MA. Come check it out on Sat or mon nights from 4 till about 8 or so. the track is usually pretty empty so you can get some good practice with out worrying about bangin into anyone or getin run off the track if you suck like me.

How about Just a pretty basic gear set. ??pinion ??Spur
i would start about a 3.o rollout, when we ran at rc hover which i think is about 20-30 ft longer i rolled around a 3.30. Mike said the track was about 60 ft so i think that is a good place to start

Mike M- Thanks for helping out one our new racers. Kyle has been having a great time on the track. Car is getting better and better each week. He's had alot of hands on help from Nate Harris it's great to see that he can come on here and get fast answers to his questions. Hope to see you soon at the Short Track.
not a problem mike, hoping to make the sizzler in a couple of weeks. then it looks like things are going to slow up for the summer but i want to check out the little track might be a nice diversion for a couple of months
