It occurred to me that someone here might be able to suggest a direction for research for a project I would like to do.

My father in law had a younger brother who flew with the Luftwaffe in the 1960s. He has a photo of his brother in front of a Sabre with German Markings and what appears to be BB295 on the side.

Does anyone know a website where I might be able to get more details about BB295? .. where it was stationed and perhaps a better photo or even an illustration with squadron markings -- in colour would be great.

If you want to model a Luftwaffe Sabre. Revell Germany reboxed the excellent Hasegawa Sabre with some new parts to make an accurate Canadair Sabre, the type used by the Luftwaffe, and it comes with two sets of Luftwaffe (including Erich Hartman) and USAF markings.
