I just bought a GFX to charge 1 cell lipo's. What settings do you set the GFX at? How do you charge, discharge, cycle, store your lipo batteries. The 65 page instruction book is a lot to go through, anybody have a condensed version? All suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

The easy way just to get you started: When the GFX powers up the screen will read "Select cell type" turn the rotary dial to lipo and push start. It sould go to "Charge Mode" push page the screen will read " Max Charge Seconds" set that to 5000 then push the rotary dial to move to "# of cells" turn rotary dial to 1 and push rotary dial to move to " mah Chg rate" turn rotary dial to 4000 ( this will ive you a charging amperage of 4 amps which works well on the SMC 1c 4000 mah) and push page to get back to main charge page, from there just hook your battery up and push start.

I,m charging my SMC 1c lipo batts at 4 amp discharging at 35 amps down to 3 volts. For short term storage I discharge them down to 3.0V then add 1500 secs of charge. Lots more info on the SMC thread, but my batterys perform very well without overcharging/heating/freezing etc etc.

heres a link to the SMC Lipo thread. http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=237949
If you follow Dannys basic care and handling guides your pack will perform better and last longer.
