Hey guys,
Thanks for your presence at the first GASCAR race at Rock Hill, SC this past weekend. It was a tough track, and very challenging, but we also learned a few things about the differences between the OS .12 and the OS .15. The OS .15 turned out to be about a whole second faster than the .12 at THE ROCK. Charlie Yates and myself ran the only .12s in the field, and it was obvious that the .15 has so much closing speed on the .12 that it was almost a disaster. Charlie and I both ran pretty clean, and in a few instances, stayed with the .15s through the tri-oval and turn one, but after that, it was no contest. The amount of power the .15 puts out makes the cars so fast at Rock Hill, that they were almost too fast to drive. You drivers did an incredible job with your cars, but I would like to propose mandating the OS .12 only for the September GASCAR race at Rock Hill. I am proposing this, because i think from watching the racing this past weekend, that the .12 will be a MUCH more raceable engine at that track. I do think the .15 will be ideal for Easley, and maybe even Lagoon Park, but due to the banking and configuration of Rock Hill, maybe the .12 engines will be more raceable. Just let me know what you think, and give me an official vote on the subject by e-mailing me your vote at coyotekars@aol.com. [U] I ran my .12 unrestricted, so I am not advocating running a particular restrictor. I am just proposing mandating the .12 for the next race at Rock Hill, only. Thanks for your support.
