Here are the pics of the first ever academy SC truck! hope you like! I utilized quite a few SC10 parts for now, but the guys at academy should get the idea easily enough since the would have to mold up a whopping 6 peices to make the current stadium truck into what you see pictured. Now to get the electronics in it , and start getting it dialed in !!!

looks great would you want to work on a evader stretch

funny you say that, iwas considering doing an evader next just because i have already turned an evader into a J82:thumbsup:And really stretching an evader chassis would be no harder than the stretch I did on the academy chassis.

so does that mean i can drop off the chassis at litchfeild?

sure herbie. I will need 2 evader main chassis for the stretch though.preferably the standard plastic, not the graphite, or EXT plastic chassis.

sc10 wheels with pro-line switch tires. keeps the track width well within roar specs:thumbsup:

I can do the graphite it will be VERY stiff thogh herbie. And will still need 2 chassis. But really you could just buy 2 standard chassis ( they are 19.99 ea @ tower) because the graphite chassis cost 40.00 so either way it will cost 40.00 , but if you just get the 2 standard chassis you will still have the uncut graphite chassis to change it back to standard wheelbase if you want.

hey guys if you want to stretch an evader what rims are you thinking of using? if you use the sc10 rims they will fit but the truck will be too wide by roar sc specs. unless you are planning on fabricating some shorter arms and rear axles. just though you should know.

I will have to measure my evader with some sc10 rims on it and see for sure, kevin.

how strong is the stretch and i hav some xxt susp if i want to be legal for sc

420 Tech R/C
04-21-2009, 06:29 PM
very strong! If you look close at the pics there are 2 aluminum angle stock rails that run the length of the battery tray, then i peice of aluminum flat stock in the bottom of the battery channell. The bond with the adhesive i am using is very strong , so no screws required.

well here is what i found when i put sc10 wheels/tires on a new evader st. front width 12 1/8" rear width 11 7/8" roars max width is 11.65" so something would need to be done to make it fit in the rules.
when losi makes their truck if they stick with the xxxt arms specs then they should be able to make a rim that will make the evader st legal also.

If thoes of you that are making these stretched trucks for the SC class in the MORL, if you are there on Friday, please look me up and let me get the trucks measured out. That will save us time Saturday I will be at the red trailer with "West Bound Racing" on the side. Just ask for Fish.
