We'll although we've racin indoors most of the winter, it's still not the same and it's that time of year to plan the 2009 outdoor season of the CD R/C Racers at the Competition Hobbies location.

We will have a planning meeting this Thursday April 9th; starting at 6:00 PM at the track. Rippin you can come and still be home in time for bed check at the home. LOL

I do not believe the Deli will be open, if that changes I'll correct the post.

As the weather doesn't look too bad, so bring your debris clearing tools and a wheel barrow or two. If nothing else we can get the surface picked up.

Just a wild guess but I would say S&H Monday night and Competition on Thursday, weather pending. Right now it looks like the showers should be gone sometime Wednesday. Cross your fingers.

P.S. I'm not sure how many scheduled races are left at S&H.

Two more Mondays at S&H I believe. Was at Competition today to get some parts and in no way is that track ready for hot laps. I plan on being there Thursday to help out and I sure hope we dont have too many pissed off people that drag all thier gear up there to run hot laps only to find out they shouldve brought a shovel.....lots has been done already but the backstretch wall still needs to be put back in and the track needs to be dragged and some electrical needs to be rehung from what I see. Hopefully with a good turnout of helpers Thursday we can run the following week....

My new car is dirty and I'm hooked!

I just want to give a shout out to the gang in the Capitol District for such a great time racing with you guys. i've hung up my helmet and sold all my stuff. Not quite ready for the rocking chair but close. i just can't take those long rides home at night any more. getting old sucks!

Warm Ups: It was good to see cars on the track, and many helping work at the "To Do" list as well.

-Track was in much better shape than most anticipated after all the new improvements and construction. Thanks to Jerry for getting the surface race-ready.

-Jay Biondi looked good w/ both cars. He was flat-footing the SB by night's end.
-Lorette looked to be quickest - car was solid and consistent
-Ron's EDM looked great for his first laps @ Comp., once we got his electronics sorted out
-Kirt's Sprint Car looked really good
-Murray's car was really good as well until he lost the trans. Steve turned more laps driving a wheelbarrow then his car, but his car looked really close off the truck!
-Rockenstyre had minor diff issues, but was logging laps and working out the bugs
-My grilled turkey w/ russian was perfect.

I will always remember when your oldest son destroyed the field at Coz's Comp Corners, crushing a field of Terminators and Intimidator 10's with an RC10 Team Car - by laps. That was awesome. :thumbsup:

I stopped down it looked like a pretty good turnout for week 2. 9 Big Blocks, 2 or 3 heats of SB, trucks, sportsmen & 2 sprint cars. I had to leave before the mains.

Just got the word John...Snyder took Herrington out on the last lap to win...lol Just kidding Snyper!

I was TQ and won the SB Main... Track was great. Thanks Jerry!

Yeah sorry Chris....what an awesome race though, 1-4 Chris, myself jason and Mark within 15 feet of each other for a long time. Chris did a great job of running his line for 45 or so laps with me pushing him thru the turns, I swear that car was 3 feet wide....:)never had so much trouble passing anyone at that track before. Some real good wheelin last night for sure, looking forward to a good season especially with a little better car count in BB it looks to be even tougher this year to make "the show".

You know im kidding right with the 2.75, I really dont know where I ended up because I changed gears and tires every round and still never got over 110 for temp.........:freak:

i called in morning see when they started jerry said no oval guys were there 1 or 2 might show up and i was welcome to come water track an practice. and by time i got ready to leave it was late enough i would have gotten much practice before i had to leave for bike race in kingston so i scraped the idea for this weekend. :-(

I thought oval was Monday with a Thursday rain-out and off-road was Wednesday and Saturday?:confused:

What time you guys starting the first heat on mondays? If i get out early enough i might take a ride down tomorrow.

razoo it is. but as far as i know i was told if enough oval guys showed up sat morning they would have ovals also. and since im gonna be in watertown for next few months though the week my mondays are not possable. :(
