During the evening we had a problem with the Slot Car area of the Photo Album. In my clumsy attempt to fix the problem the photos that were in the Slot Car section where reassigned to the Misc. Items section.

I am afraid that this will break any links you had to those pictures :( Unfortunately, there is no way to repair this - :( :(

I am REALLY sorry for this error and if there was anything I could do it fix this I would. I am going to go and see how far back the last backup is but I am afraid that it would mess up to many of the other uploads that were done.

I am going to do a database restore but will lose the last 7 days of photo uploads (approx 100 photos). I am truly sorry for this mistake and lost of those photos.

No worries...I'm just thankful for having someplace to post them...

Well..they were there last night...now it appears my photos are all gone except for a few...:tongue:

I got back ups though to re-post when things get settled...:thumbsup:

UPDATE: The database has been restored. I am currently in the process of moving the pictures back into the Slot Cat area. This should be completed in a couple of hours. Hopefully that will put everything back where it was on Apr 1st. Thank you for your understanding.

This is good to know - somehow all my pics except one that got moved were Aurora vibrator cars and schematics, and I was left to only imagine..... where would they go? Would I want to go there to retrieve them? LOL Thanks Hank!

It appears that the Slot Car photo area has been successfully recreated to Apr. 1st. There are a couple of minor areas on the Photo Album that need to be recreated but I can do this later tonight as I get a chance.

Sorry for the confusion and the emails (in some cases many.... one for each photo you had) that were sent. Once I started the incorrect move command, there was no stopping it as that would have only created many more problems.

My fault, shouldn't be doing these things late at night right before I go to bed. As it was, I ended up being up until 2am and had to get back up at 5am to go to work. Such is life.... go ahead, burn me at the stake, post dirty pictures of me and talk bad about me in other forums.... I'm man enough to take it :lol:

Going to take a bit of rest now before I head out to the tax accountant... now THAT will keep you up at night!!!!!!

Hank, you're the best in my book. HT is THE Forum as far as I am concerned. Stuff happens. As Dr. Hall said, it's not like the rest of us have never made a mistake. when you work with computers, you play with fire. It is a sure thing that you'll get burned once in awhile.

Like your the only one here that's ever screwed up doing sys admin on a computer. :rolleyes: Let me tell you about the time I was restoring some print drivers on my little old PC and inadvertently erased my .pst files and all of my emails for three years. Have never figured out what or how I did it, but I did. And this wasn't a late night adventure when this happened either. :drunk:
