When is your friend visiting the states? I'd recommend your friend get in contact with Ken before visiting.. He's not a full-time shop and does not keep regular hours. But, he is usually very willing to go out of his way to accommodate visitors, and would probably be happy to have the shop open for your friend if timing is convenient. Ken also holds a monthly race, usually the first Saturday of the month... if your friend is interested in a fun race and is visiting at the right time; there is always plenty of loaner cars available at no cost.

I advised my friend's friend (because in fact, it's a french forum friend who want to go in h0 scale, and have a friend who goes to USA this summer, so his friend could take items for him...I hope I explain that correctly) that he should contact ken to have an appointement before visiting him.
