I decided to take a few pics of a couple of Thrift Store finds...

These were the only two left when I got there, apparently earlier in the morning there were 24 - 25 different ones. :(

Guess I should be happy with what I have :)

Thanks for looking, Denis

What kind of thrift stores do you have up there in the frozen north? Down here south of the border, ain't never seen any 1960's Solidos in any store for 35 year!!!

The Thrift Store that these came from sell second hand stuff.

Most, if not all of the contents have been donated. (clothes, dishware, toys)

If I was to guess... a widow whose husband or family whose father collected these had no clue of their value and just wanted to get rid of them after his passing.

Makes me think about where my collection will end up.

Thanks for the reply - yes, that does make me feel a little sad. But lucky for you, eh? I figure we keep them for a while and pass them on to someone else, one way or the other. You're already passing them on in a way - made my day to see someone get such a great find!!! :)

You lucky dog!
I've seen pics of that Alpine 1:1 and was always mesmerized.
Didn't one race at LeMans?
And a T-70? ....YUM!!!
Congrats to you!!!
