Picked up a FOOTBALL acrylic display case from MICHAEL'S crafts & hobby store today for $30, normally $50 -- they are having a 40% off sale...not sure how long it lasts, but if you want a nice display case for your Chariot, or anything the size of a football, this is a pretty good deal -- you'll have to remove the plastic oval "ball" rest on base, but it comes off easily with a screwdriver and a little elbow grease.

I'll try to posts some pics soon -- I wanted a case for this because I imagine it would be a bear to dust it without risking knocking off antenna or other little stuff that sticks off the exterior.

What are the dimensions of the base?

Michael's employee said sale ended last night -- but then I saw in their Sunday newspaper insert this morning that all display cases are still 40% off, so prices should be good for another week -- but just a heads up, the two Michael's in my area (Louisville, Ky) only had two or three of each case in this size, unless they have more in the back, I have no idea if they have backroom stock. I picked up another case last night for a Bladerunner Spinner model I am working on.

The one I got is called Acrylic Sports Case and is 7 inches tall by 11 inches wide by 7 inches deep.

They also had some simialr size but had a black frame around case and a mirrored back wall --- similar price, I believe, but I prefer the case with no frame on clear portion.
