I have a Traxxas 2.5RTR (got it 4 years ago). New header on it, along with a new exhaust (gives me a little more power... :) ) And I've been dealing with steering problems a lot lately...
I turn it to the right (it works fine) I let go of the steering module, and it doesn't return to the center unless i turn it left. (and it does not turn left all the way either, unless I turn left multiple times, or brake while turning left).
I'm thinking that something is bent where the steering arms pivot (right under the body) and I'm thinking of rebuilding the front end.
My question here is, do you think this is a good idea to do? (it will cost ~$50)
Other than that the car is running amazing!

Either something is bent or binding up somewhere. Unhook the servo from the steering arms and see if the steering system is free. If not, start unhooking things one at a time until you figure out where it is binding.
BTW, what kind of traxxas car is it?

It's the T-Maxx (sorry I didn't specify that).
I'm pretty sure something's bent (it happened even before i crashed it last time) but now my body won't stay on it... I'm pretty sure the front end just needs a rebuild... I might need a new chassis.

Check to see if your battery was charged.
My problem is the cheaper Traxxas servo's don't have enough torque to turn them big wheels. You might have to put in a higher quality servo to turn.

I took the linkage off of the servo, and it turns with a lot of force, and it should move further than what it does. (it's definitely binding against something) I wish it was just a simple battery issue :( I still run it (just not at full throttle).

check your pivot balls on the steering knuckles, if they are dirty or too tight it will bind pretty bad, clean them out and put some graphite or some other kind of dry teflon type lube in there

Something is really bent on my truck.
I have no clue what is bent, but I'm going to do a total rehaul this summer...
New tranny, front and rear bulkheads (the whole assembly) and possibly clean or get a new engine... Along with servos and a new transmitter/reciever...
3.3 sounds pretty good right now :) and put a supercharger on it... Those are about $100ish though, pretty expensive but would be frickin awesome

supercharger is a gimmick.....stay away.....if you want more power, look into one of the bigger engines....
