I had a pinion gear set screw with the head stripped out. So I drilled it out and removed the pinion gear. Afterwards I realized I really should have covered the motor before doing that. Now I have little metal shavings inside of the motor stuck to the magnets. I sprayed it out w motor cleaner and compressed air really good - but I can still see shavings in there. Will this destroy the motor? I am wondering at 23 dollars, should I just go get a new one and keep this as a spare? your thoughts?

Doesnt hurt to have a spare, but i would go ahead and run it. Just blow it out again the best you can and run it and save the new one for a spare.

Go or Blow, if you are that worried, stick in a cup of water, then hit it at half throttle, do this at home though, buhahahahah
