So, you race OVAL... not suprising, since this IS the Oval Section!~

WHERE do you race?

What type of track?

How Big?

if it's local club racing - How many regular racers are there?

Once a month - I race CLUB RACING at the parking lot of a high school. Number of racers varies between 15 - 25

Once a month - SWTour SERIES race - various tracks, approx 50 racers average.

I mainly race in Terre Haute,IN hobbybarn raceway, about twice a month on average

track size- about 85ft run line, low grip, VERY SHORT!!! like running Bristol

regulars- well that veries, about 12-18 entries

summertime it's the indy velo!! 20-25 entries on the fun runs every month except the nats..

Van Wert RC Raceway in Van Wert, Ohio (flat carpet bullring) gets 45 to 60 entries on a typical Friday night during the indoor season. Both kids and adults attend, lots of fun, great racing, a good spectator crowd and nobody gets too mad. More brushed than brushless, more NiMH than Lipo, no tech and not a lot of rules either.

Wonder why a small town upstairs track (27 steps!!!) in the middle of nowhere can pack 'em in like that on a Friday, while the big tracks in Columbus (now closed) and Cincinnatti seem to have difficulty attracting ten to twenty racers and rarely any kids on a GOOD Saturday?

Could it be advantageous to also say what classes are being run?

Midwest Triclone- 375 ft paved high back tri-oval
The classes we run are -17.5 2c lipo, 21.5 2c lipo, trying to get a 21.5 2c lipo spec class going and we have a 21.5 2c lipo with dirt latemodel body class.

Here is the schedule for the outdoor track:

June 5-6-7 Practice---track will open at 8am

June 13-20 Racing track open 8am racing at noon

July 4-18-25 Racing track open 8am racing at noon

Aug 8-15-22 Racing track open 8am racing at noon

Sept 5-12-19 Racing track 0pen at 8am racing at noon

The track will be open for practice on Fridays at 2pm on race weekends

Rosewood in NC 165' carpet oval. They also have outdoor road course, and working on outdoor paved oval.

Between 30 and 60 entries during carpet season every weekend.

Legends, VTA, 13.5 1C, 10.5 1C, and some random 21.5 now (very few) as most have seen the 1C light!!
