We're all getting ready for the summer season of racing at Flagstaff Hobbies. One of the new classes this year is 1/10 Sprints on the big asphalt oval. The Losi 1/10th Slider will be popular, but I thought I would dig into the archives and resurect an RC10 with a USAC Silver Crown look using our Roll Cage Sprint body. I like the wingless look which is consistant with Silver Crown cars, but the rules will require a wing. The body also works well on a Pan Car too.

Thought some of you might be familiar with the USAC Sprints....hope you like it.

Here is the Roll Cage Sprint body on Pan Cars.

Dan- Thanks for the wheels. It looks even better now. I painted all the wheels black. Maybe I can pay you back with a set of Pan Car wheels.

I think I answered most of Dan's questions in an email. But in a nutshell, our #206 Roll Cage Sprint body is what's pictured. It has a molded-in left pod for battery placement on a Pan Car and we can form it with or without the right side pod. The nerf bars are just bent aluminum or plastic rod. Looks more realistic with it but not necessary.

Dirtydrc- For our race this Sunday it is a totally open class...I'll be packing a 5,000 2-cell SMC Lipo with a 4.5 brushless....HOOOOYAAA!!!

NOW we're racin'!

There's one of those bodies hanging on the wall at the local dirt oval (RCHR, Waterbury CT - free plug). I just might grab it today......

Dale- I'll let you know if I have anything left on Monday. Hope we get to race on Sunday. Snowed last night. All white on the ground but the Sun is out so we might be OK. We have big temperature swings here in the Southwest.

cheatr71- We make two hoods and tanks for the Custom Works Sprint, the San Jose and the Houston. Not sure if the New William's Grove body will fit on the Custom Works. It has a molded-in driver so it might be pretty cool. Size wise you can probably make it fit.

do you think that would fit on a losi xxxbk2 buggy?

ronzilla- The Roll Cage Sprint body can be used on any 1/10th off road truck or buggy. However, lowered shock towers will be helpful and body mounts will be your own configuration. You might check this website for dirt oval conversion parts, www.speedysracingparts.com

Hi Todd-
The bumpers and nerf bars are just aluminum or plastic rod that I bent, not production pieces.

It was an interesting class and mix of equipment. I kind of put my car together at the last minute so I just threw in an old ESC from a box of extra stuff. The car worked great and was a rocket on the straight, but the ESC kept shutting off and other odd things. Maybe that's why it was in the junk box. A new ESC will fix that. It's gonna be good next race.
