Where's it available? Have you tried it on these rubber tracks? I'm surprised this topic hasn't come up sooner. Moebius makes no mention of the glue required to be able to stretch these tracks over the wheels. Steve steve123 03-29-2009, 01:09 PM It's found at grocery stores and tagets and the wall. it's strong stuff, I just used it to re-attach the trim strips on my real jeep..lol The reviews I've read state it took several applications of superglue and then stretching the tracks to fit. make sure you paint and seal the road wheel bogies as there was a problem with early releases of the vinyl tracks reacting with the plastic road wheels. You could also try stapling the track end together... Steve Y3a 03-29-2009, 01:44 PM Scar the surface with Lacquer thinner on a Q-tip then use Black Goop. Super glue only works with non-flexible parts. falcon49xxxx 03-29-2009, 03:07 PM I heated a screwdriver and melted the posts down,no glue required. drmcoy 03-29-2009, 06:04 PM i used super glue GEL on mine and it worked fine...it is the most precarious part of the build...wish I would have thought of the staples solution first. Prince of Styrene II 03-30-2009, 10:15 AM I heated a screwdriver and melted the posts down,no glue required. Really?! How does it look? Can you post a pic?? SFCOM1 03-30-2009, 12:08 PM I heated a screwdriver and melted the posts down,no glue required. That is a great way. Used it a lot with some of my models. It's also the recomended procedure for the Tamaya military tank line (they use the same style of plastic on the "tracks". Got a couple of M2A2 Bradley IFV's, as I used to work on the weapon systems when I was in the military). djnick66 03-30-2009, 01:19 PM I glued them with "Plastic Surgery" or "Crazy Glue All Plastics" which you can buy at Wal Mart, Ace, etc. Both are instant/super glue type glues formulated for a wide range of plastic and rubber. All Plastics utilizes a primer pen that you rub on the parts first. I noticed that with the primer pen, you can use Zap A Gap as well. Zap won't glue the tracks on its own but with the primer it will. All Plastics is just a glue, and comes in a weird metal tube. Neither glue had a great shelf life once opened/used. But both worked VERY well. jbond 03-30-2009, 03:29 PM Crazy glue worked for me...I don't know why it would have a problem with rubber since it works on my fingers just fine... falcon49xxxx 03-30-2009, 04:10 PM Really?! How does it look? Can you post a pic?? Pic,here you go.Get the tip red hot and slide it across the tabs. Prince of Styrene II 03-30-2009, 04:52 PM [Malcom Reynolds] huh.
