I have a M Magic controller so I can adjust the ohms and brakes. They are a handfull to put it mildly on a home track but with the ability that everyone talks about to just turn the voltage down they would definately be more fun and easier to drive. videojimmy 03-28-2009, 09:50 AM Personally, I think every well rounded collection should have a Riggen or two... and yes, they will run on your Tomy track. If they're the worth the money or not is up to you to decide. Some people love them, others don't. I like them, but I don't love them. The hardcore Riggen guys will tell you that Riggen like to be run on pro track set ups, or large routed tracks... which some of the guys here have. They do require some tweeking, practice and patience to run on home tracks though. If you do buy one, make sure you get the brass cap for the front, it will help the car from de-slotting on the turns. You can get these caps at Riggen.com My favorite brass car is the Cobramite. They're harder to find and usually more expensive than a Riggen, but in my opinion, they run MUCH smoother. The "Holy Grail" of brass cars are Dynabrutes ... very hard to find and very expensive when you do find them... they usually run 150-250 bucks a pop ... on the rare occassion they show up on ebay ... but man are they smooth and fast! They have a sidewinder motor set up, like a 1/32 scale car. twolff 03-28-2009, 10:19 AM You can try a non-drop arm wiper TycoPro chassis to see if you like the feel of a brass pan car. They are numerous and dirt cheap compared to the Riggen and the others in the class. The TycoPro are a blast on my 4x8 Tomy track. Tuning is mostly getting the wipers the correct shape, bumping the voltage down a couple of volts, and keeping the rear wheels from hopping under throttle. When it all comes together it's like driving a tiny 1/24th scale car. waltgpierce 03-28-2009, 11:25 AM Here is a previous discussion: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=166937&highlight=riggen GoodwrenchIntim 03-28-2009, 12:58 PM 2 Riggen, Dynabrute an a Cobramite(missing parts) If anyone has any cobramite parts to finish mine I would be interested http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/GoodwrenchIntimidator3/100_1162.jpg As for performance a stock Dynabrute will smoke a stock Riggen, Handles better an much faster due to gearing. All around much more fun to drive. Riggen makes a "fun Kit" Great, cheep way to get a riggen, as for their limited editions. People that pay that price have more money than brains IMO joegri 03-28-2009, 02:57 PM thanx all for the 2cents worth I knew I would get some answers here.huumm cobramite altterative adjustable power could be forcing to try and route a new track!!should be in a rubber room by june. videojimmy 03-28-2009, 03:54 PM Hye goodwretch...
